Three students
from the North of England schools of Taekwondo have achieved their 1st degree
Black Belts in recent gradings. Amy Ellis Frances Adams and Jordon Ward are all based in Chapeltown and train with N.E.S.T. senior Instructor Jason Ainley who is a 3rd Degree Black Belt himself Jason said the girls have trained hard and shown their dedication and commitment to their art over the past 5 years attending classes in Rotherham and Sheffield. They thoroughly deserve their Black Belts after a grading that tested them both physically and mentally they were examined by a panel of senior ranking instructors up to 5th degree black belt and tested alongside other students from west Yorkshire and Humberside. The grading consisted of line drills to demonstrate the variety of blocking punching and kicking techniques , form demonstrations and a theory test. The grading lasted for over an hour and Mr Ainley said the students gave a show of strength and power together with the proper ettiqutte to demonstrate to the panel that they are worthy of Black Belt.
